Nicolae "The Armor" Cury was recently hospitalized with an extreme case of pneumonia. In three Art of Fighting appearances Nicolae is 2-1 with his only loss coming in a "Fight of the Night" effort versus recent title contender Levon Maynard. Nicolae dismantled Brent Carraway in Art of Fighting 1 via what seemed to be an effortless armbar. After then facing Maynard, Cury returned on the Art of Fighting 5 card where he dominated his opponent on the ground earning an early first round victory due to a vice like triangle choke. 

The American Top Team prodigy now suffers from a severe case of pneumonia and like many young people in America, he has no health insurance. Nicolae has been in the hospital going on 4 days and the bills are piling up. In efforts to support Nicolae, American Top Team will be holding a seminar at their Cocoanut Creek, FL facility. On April 3 at the Art of Fighting 7 event, Art of Fighting will be selling Nicolae "The Armor" Cury posters for $5 and accepting charitable donations. All proceeds will go directly to the aspiring young fighter as he hopes to recover from this difficult time.
