Linderman Upsets Rinaldi

 On November 22 at Art of Fighting 6, Northern California's DJ Linderman defeated one of the best heavyweights in the world in Mario "Big Hurt" Rinaldi. Mario controlled the first two rounds getting several viscious slams on the NORCAL native. At one point Rinaldi had full mount on Linderman and torched him with several punches that might have stopped almost any opponent. Two rounds of punishing Linderman wore on Rinaldi's 260 lbs. frame and Linderman was the fresher of the two fighters in round 3. Linderman shocked the crowd with a take down and subsequent tko of the world ranked Rinaldi. This now moves Linderman into possible contention for the AOF Heavyweight title with front runners Dave "Pay Me" Yost and Tom "Trauma" Sauer. The heavyweight promotional title will be awarded in a contest between the top two contenders in 2010.
