Jamie Yager is the most recent edition to the TUF mega star roster. He is probably the most controversial outspoken fighter in Ultimate Fighter history. "Jamie was born for reality TV, it was something Zuffa could offer him that AOF could not." Jamie recently lost during the last episode on Spike TV after 2 grueling rounds against Josh Bryant 10-0. " Jamie possesses a lot of talent, he is one of the most talented fighters to step in the AOF cage, but he simply does not have the experience. In all fairness Yager only has 3 fights prior to the TV show. It's a fact that these other guys have had more time to develop their skills and even though Yager may KO more experienced fighters, he still lacks in many areas that can only be cured with time, and more fights. In my opinion if Yager had 10 fights no one in the house could pose a threat in any area, he needs time to become a more complete fighter, his last fight was probably the first time he's ever ate a hard shot." quotes Nathan Smith
Another AOF fighter and well know super heavyweight Imani Lee faced Minowaman in the popular Dream promotion in Japan. "I've been an avid fan of dream for years, but this matchup is complete garbage, I have lost a lot of respect of their matchmaking over there. It's no secret after Imani's last loss to Giovanni Sarran that Imani has no ground game. They are blatantly gunning for Imani, it's the same bullshit that ruined boxing, a horrible mismatch in skill set and cage experience. I can't blame Imani for taking a fight over there but what kind of crap is dream trying to sell me as a fan, these guys are one of the biggest shows on the planet and these are what the matchups look like 50-10 vs 1-2, what a joke!" quotes Smith.
"We recently came to an agreement with Seth Petruzelli to return in our Jacksonville show AOF 9: Apocalypse on Sept 4, the same day Zuffa contacted him or his rep and signed him to a fight. Seth was very respectful in the way he handled it, he contacted me and said he had this offer and I could immediately tell how excited he was to return to the UFC and I think that Seth will do a good job over there. I am not in the position to compete with Zuffa, these guys have been breaking boundaries for years and I can only hope of attaining a fraction of their success. I do believe we are on the right path, we put together consistant solid fight cards, and with each show we are seeing a gradual rise in attendance. I really feel we are a dominant force in the south east and we are going to make waves and push boundaries of our own. We have come along way and we are getting better at everything and adding new dynamics with every show. Art of Fighting has a lot to offer the MMA world"
